A clue to how to get them back would be welcome. (They seem to be present on friends' blogs still.)

When I look at your blogs, those links are still there. So, it must be some personal viewing setting. I just checked my own profile and there is this in the "settings" section at the bottom:
"Show Blog comments [tick] Display my own comments on my profile page"
Do you have that box ticked?

These are no modules, every blog has them and if they have dissapeared, it
most likely has something to do with some css or html-codes you have entered.
Please check there.

It is the same on every one, and apart from changing the description of one, have not edited the designs or settings for a long time. Do other users see a different view from the owner perhaps?
[10 minutes later] I have spent some time playing about, and just discovered that they only appear when I expand the comments on any post. So, if that is the intended behaviour, I'm sorry I wasted your time. I haven't had many comments recently that I needed to reply to, which is perhaps why I hadn't noticed it before.

You could check again when you're not logged in.
And yes, i think that's how it is with your blogs
due to how you designed them (not 100% sure though).

Hi again,
I logged out, and they are still missing. (Didn't clear cookies though.)
What is so odd is that they just vanished a few days ago, even though I haven't touched the design settings. So unless a code change has made my designs incompatible, I am completely foxed by this.
Oh well, have a good weekend!
