what group ya doing
I have just opened an artists group for everyOne to come and join no matter how rubbish they may think they are -would love spiritual art on there and am thinking of a support group too -don't know how to advertise the group and if you look at it it looks really crap!
I will try and post something later and see how it looks then -i notice that many groups have a nice template but there is no way of designing it like a bog or not that i can see anyway maybe I have missed something
Group is Artemis Art Group -will you join? I need moderators too

Hiya - some groups such as the photogroup were set up and 'owned' by BCUK hence the designs. Any groups set up by members only have the photo upload facility to pretty it up!
I think that I'm right in this - Rampage is the best guy to ask.
Hi Spice
I have just realised that you can edit like a blog -I am getting the message now that this is available to pro users only -well I am a pro user, so don't understand this atall.

Groups have only the standard free account design options.
We'll propably change that in the future but right now you
can't change the design too much.
Ok thankyou -can you tell me if I can reset the comments so that only members of the group can comment and is there a way of right click disabling so that artwork cannot be copied?

It's possible to disable right-clicking, via javascript (or however the English equivalent is called) - I know it's possible but I don't have the capability to do it myself. Anyway, I consider it to be totally sensless, for there are other ways to copy blogged images; looking in the source-code or just making a screenshot.
True -I suppose a watermark would be more useful
I know there are ways to do this probably with software packages?

Watermarks might be a solution, but there's this fine line between making something unworthy to be copied because of something like a watermark and an image that's good to look at albeit its mark...
I don't know if there's software espacially for this, I'm not really into that. But there's GIMP and this site giving a tutorial about how to create bumpmaps, though there are probably more possibilities to make watermarks with GIMP.
Ok thankyou for that I will have a think about it and whether it's worth watermarking

Though I'm really in doubt about whether I could give you any help at all: You're welcome

You can change the comment-modus in your blog-settings for that group.
No, i don't think there is a way, to "disable" images so they can't be
copied.
Ok thankyou -will try the comment settings

we already have the comment stuff on our wishlist, we just forgot the option to make comments possible to only group members, of course you can always make it a private group or moderated group or post everything only for group members.
